These delicious chewy dark caramel pecan pralines are definitely the most original candy made in Texas.  Their name comes from a funny story about the lady who was making them.  She was interrupted during the stirring to chase armadillos out of her yard.  Because of the delay, the caramel “burned,” darkening past the recipe’s instructions.  [...]
